El Dr. Oster se doctor\u00f3 en la Facultad de Medicina de Albany, complet\u00f3 su beca de investigaci\u00f3n en c\u00f3rnea en el New England Eye Center de Boston y fue nombrado instructor de oftalmolog\u00eda en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Tufts y asistente de oftalmolog\u00eda en el Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary de la Universidad de Harvard. Tambi\u00e9n fue Director del Servicio de C\u00f3rnea en el Jamaica Plains VA Hospital y est\u00e1 certificado por la Junta Americana de Oftalmolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n

El Dr. Oster es miembro de la Academia Americana de Oftalmolog\u00eda, la Sociedad Americana de Cataratas y Cirug\u00eda Refractiva, la Sociedad Internacional de Cirug\u00eda Refractiva, la Sociedad Oftalmol\u00f3gica de Colorado y es miembro del Colegio Americano de Cirujanos. El Dr. Oster empez\u00f3 a utilizar el l\u00e1ser excimer para tratar trastornos corneales en 1995, ha impartido varios cursos sobre correcci\u00f3n visual con l\u00e1ser y ha dado conferencias en reuniones nacionales e internacionales.
