Dr. William J. Tullo, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Tullo is the Vice-President of Clinical Services for Vision Group Holdings, a member of Clinical Advisory Group for TLC Laser Eye Centers, Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry, and the corporate president and practicing optometrist for Princeton Optometric Physicians.
His extensive optometric experience includes such positions as Executive Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers Manhattan, Director of Optometric Services, Technical Advisor on Refractive Technologies, Director of Clinical Services, Regional Clinical Director, and other posts held with TLC Laser Eye Centers.
As a lecturer since 1988, Dr. Tullo has presented on a wide variety of optometric topics ranging from ocular disease, dry eye therapy, ocular trauma and emergency eye care, LASIK surgery and LASIK post-operative care, refractive surgery, laser technologies, corneal crosslinking, keratoconus, presbyopia surgical management, PRK, and much more.
Dr. Tullo has authored and co-authored many optometric publications, such as “A Closer Look at Corneal Cross-linking” for Contact Lens Spectrum. He has been actively involved in a variety of clinical research and development studies, including serving as the Study Coordinator for the Alcon LADARVision 4000 CustomCornea Hyperopia with Astigmatism and LaserSight Hyperopia with Astigmatism FDA trials, as well as the Site Coordinator for the VISX Star S2 LASIK Mixed Astigmatism and VISX Star S2 LASIK Hyperopic Astigmatism FDA trials. Additionally, Dr. Tullo has been involved in many other clinical studies since 1991.
Currently, Dr. William J. Tullo is an editor for both Optometry and Vision Science, the official journal of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as Optometry Times.
Dr. Tullo received his Doctor of Optometry at State University of New York State College of Optometry, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology at State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, New Jersey Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, New Jersey Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
